Scindapsus pictus 'Exotica Mint' is a rare captivating cultivar known for its large, heart-shaped leaves adorned with a unique mint-green variegation. This variegation presents as a blend of silvery-green and mint hues, creating a striking contrast against the darker green portions of the foliage. The plant exhibits a trailing or climbing growth habit, making it suitable for hanging baskets or training on supports.
Native to: Southeast Asia.
Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Ensure thorough watering, allowing excess water to drain completely. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to let the soil dry slightly between waterings.
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light may diminish variegation and slow growth. It can tolerate lower light conditions but thrives best in well-lit, filtered light environments.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity levels. In drier indoor environments, using a humidifier or placing the plant on a humidity tray can help maintain adequate moisture levels.
Temperature: It thrives in temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. It is not frost-tolerant and should be kept away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
