Native to: Begonia 'Evening Glow' is a hybrid cultivar developed for ornamental use. While its exact lineage is not specified, it belongs to the Begonia genus, which includes species native to tropical and subtropical regions worldwide.
Water: Maintain consistently moist soil, ensuring it remains evenly moist but not waterlogged. Regular watering is essential, especially during active growth periods. Avoid allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while insufficient light may lead to diminished vibrancy in foliage coloration. A location near an east or north-facing window is ideal.
Humidity: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet, however all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. Crisping of some leaves can occur in typical household humidity but grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen can help.
Temperature: Favors warm indoor temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Protect the plant from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations. Ensure temperatures do not drop below 15°C to prevent stress.
Regular maintenance includes removing spent flowers and trimming any leggy growth to encourage a fuller appearance. During the growing season, typically from spring to early autumn, apply a balanced, diluted liquid fertiliser every few weeks to support vibrant foliage. Additionally, placing the plant in a location with stable temperatures and away from cold drafts will help maintain its health and appearance.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
