Not always. Peppermint is a hybrid, so seedlings vary in vigour and in the strength of their menthol flavour. Grow several, taste the leaves once they are established, and keep the best; it is easy to multiply from cuttings or by dividing the clump.

Yes, and a pot is the best way to grow it. Mint spreads fast by underground runners and can take over a bed, so a container at least 30 cm across keeps it tidy. Keep the compost moist, as mint wilts quickly when dry.

Yes. It is fully hardy, dies back to the ground in winter and sends up fresh shoots in spring. Cut it back hard after flowering and it will produce a new flush of leaves before autumn.

*Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of undamaged plants as these are perishable items and are not saleable upon return. If a plant is damaged, we will compensate for this as per our live arrival guarantee.

Please keep in mind that "dispatch" refers to the time it takes our team to prepare and pack your items before handing them over to the courier, not the total delivery time.

Additionally, to protect the health and quality of our live plants, orders containing plants are exclusively shipped Monday through Thursday. This careful scheduling prevents your plants from being stuck in a dark shipping depot over the weekend, ensuring they arrive at your door vibrant and healthy.
