This epiphytic orchid hails from tropical Indo‑China (Thailand and Vietnam), growing in moist forests at low to mid elevations (likely around 1,000 m). It features creeping rhizomes with small ovoid pseudobulbs, each topped by a single leathery, mid‑green leaf. In late winter to spring, it produces a single, ~5 cm wide flower—or occasionally successive blooms on short stems—that are golden-yellow with a pinkish-purple lip, giving an umbrella-like appearance.
Native to:
• Indo‑China region—primarily Thailand and Vietnam—and occasionally recorded in Laos. This species inhabits tropical forest canopies, attaching to trees and thriving in warm, shaded, humid conditions.
Water:
Maintain evenly moist substrate during the growing season; reduce slightly over winter but never allow it to dry out fully.
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light—mostly shaded, avoiding direct sun. Equivalent to gentle east or north-window exposure.
Humidity:
Thrives at 70–85% humidity; essential to replicate its native conditions. Compact size makes it well-suited to terrarium or vivarium culture, provided there is some airflow to prevent fungus.
Temperature:
Warm to intermediate: daytime 22–30 °C, with night-time dips to 15–21 °C (a drop of around 7–10 °C helps promote flowering). Avoid extended periods below ~15 °C.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
