Native to: Argostemma hookeri is native to the lush tropical rainforests of Borneo. In its natural habitat, it grows on the forest floor, benefiting from the high humidity and shaded conditions provided by the dense canopy above.
Water: This plant prefers consistently moist soil, but it is crucial to avoid waterlogging. Water thoroughly when the top 2 cm of the soil starts to dry out. In a terrarium setting, the high humidity often reduces the need for frequent watering. Ensure the terrarium has good drainage to prevent root rot.
Light: Argostemma hookeri thrives in low to medium light conditions, mimicking its native forest floor environment. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. Bright, indirect light is optimal, making it suitable for placement in various parts of a terrarium.
Humidity: High humidity levels of 70% to 90% are essential for this species. Its native rainforest habitat provides consistently high humidity, which you should replicate in your terrarium. Using a humidifier or maintaining the terrarium's closed environment will help achieve the necessary moisture levels.
Temperature: This plant prefers warm temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. It is sensitive to cold and should be kept away from temperatures below 15°C. Maintaining a stable, warm environment will promote healthy growth and vibrant foliage.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.
Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.
We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.
We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.
That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for. Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting. The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
