🌿 Plant Care Tips

Iconic for its large, deeply veined leaves resembling dragon scales, it is a cultivar of Alocasia baginda. Native to Borneo.

  • The meaning of 'Baginda' is princely or kingly, an aptly majestic name for this regal plant.
  • Leaf undersides are a pale, almost white green with red veining.
  • Unreal in looks, it is a true statement plant.

Growth pattern: Tuberous & bushes outwards

Water: Little and often. Keep moist but not waterlogged.

Ideal Position: South, east or north facing

Light: Medium to bright, indirect or filtered light.

Recommended Substrate: Alocasia Mix

Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use.
