Worm Castings - manure generated by earthworms - are the perfect addition to your substrate blends to add an organic fertiliser. Worm castings provide all the essential nutrients your plants need and will also aid moisture retention and aeration.
Mix into your substrate before potting up, use as a top dressing to be watered into the root ball, or make a microbe tea by mixing with water.

I haven't used this yet but I read many good things about this product. As far as I understand, you need to add about 5-15% of worm castings to your compost for maximum benefit. Price here at GT is very decent, you are unlikely to find it cheaper elsewhere, and the packaging is convenient with varying pack sizes.
