Shiso 'Red and Green Mix' Seeds

Shiso can be slow and patchy. Soak the seed overnight, sow on the surface of moist compost in a warm spot and keep it moist. Some growers chill the seed in the fridge for a few weeks first, which helps an older batch.

Green shiso is fresh and aromatic, often described as a cross between mint and basil with citrus notes. Red shiso is earthier and slightly more astringent, and is mostly used for colouring and pickling.

Yes. A 25 cm pot on a sunny patio or bright windowsill is enough for one plant. Keep the compost moist, as shiso wilts quickly in dry heat, and pick regularly to keep it bushy.

*Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of undamaged plants as these are perishable items and are not saleable upon return. If a plant is damaged, we will compensate for this as per our live arrival guarantee.

Please keep in mind that "dispatch" refers to the time it takes our team to prepare and pack your items before handing them over to the courier, not the total delivery time.

Additionally, to protect the health and quality of our live plants, orders containing plants are exclusively shipped Monday through Thursday. This careful scheduling prevents your plants from being stuck in a dark shipping depot over the weekend, ensuring they arrive at your door vibrant and healthy.
