🌿 Plant Care Tips
Monstera gambensis is a unique and rare species within the Monstera genus, originating from the humid tropical forests of La Gamba, Golfito, Costa Rica. This hemiepiphytic plant grows both on the forest floor and as a climber, often seen scaling trees with its robust aerial roots. It's one of the smaller Monstera species.
Native to: Monstera gambensis is endemic to the tropical forests of Costa Rica, particularly in the region of La Gamba at an elevation of around 100 meters.
Water: This plant prefers to be watered when the top inch of soil is dry. Ensure the soil is consistently moist but not waterlogged to prevent root rot. Typically, watering every 7-10 days during warmer months and reducing to every 2-3 weeks during cooler months is ideal.
Light: Monstera gambensis thrives in bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can damage the leaves, so it is best to place the plant in a location where it receives filtered light. It can tolerate lower light conditions but will grow more slowly and may not develop its characteristic fenestrations as effectively.
Humidity: High humidity levels between 60% and 80% are ideal for this plant. If your indoor environment is dry, consider using a humidifier, placing the plant on a pebble tray with water, or misting the leaves regularly to maintain the necessary humidity.
Temperature: Maintain a temperature range of 18°C to 26°C for optimal growth. Avoid exposing the plant to temperatures below 15°C, as it is sensitive to cold. A stable, warm environment will promote healthy growth and lush foliage.

All plants are sent via express courier services with DPD, UPS, Parcelforce, and Royal Mail. Choose from economy (4–5 day dispatch), standard (1–3 day dispatch), or express for guaranteed next day dispatch available at checkout for an additional cost.
Winter shipping is available during colder months and includes heat packs and thermal insulation where needed.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.
Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.
We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.
We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.
That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia, may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
