Justicia manserichensis is an understory plant native to Peru, belonging to the Acanthaceae family. It is characterised by its large, dark green land silver eaves adorned with deep recessed venation, creating a striking visual contrast. The plant produces small, purple flowers, adding to its ornamental appeal. Its compact growth habit makes it suitable for indoor cultivation especially in larger terrariums.

Native to: Peru, thriving in the wet tropical biome.

Water: Maintain consistently moist soil, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot. During active growth, the plant may require more frequent watering.

Light: Prefers partial or dappled shade. Exposure to bright, indirect light is ideal. Direct sunlight can cause leaf scorching.

Humidity: Thrives in high humidity environments, ideally above 50%. Regular misting or the use of a humidifier can help maintain adequate humidity levels. Its preference for elevated humidity makes it well-suited for terrarium settings.

Temperature: Optimal growth occurs between 20°C and 25°C. Temperatures should not fall below 16°C to prevent stress. Sudden temperature fluctuations should be avoided.
