Hoya calycina ‘Stargazer’ is a cultivated selection of Hoya calycina, originally from eastern Asia. Its thick, slightly velvety leaves carry a deep green to bronzed hue, and the plant rewards its grower with clusters of scented, star-shaped flowers that are white with a pink-red corona—each flower around 2 cm across. These blooms are larger and noticeably more fragrant than many other hoyas.
Native to:
Derived from Hoya calycina, which hails from forested areas in eastern Asia; the cultivar ‘Stargazer’ retains that tropical epiphytic heritage. Leaves are succulent, elliptical, with a slight sheen, and flower umbels feature five-pointed white petals and a vivid pink-to-red centre
Water:
Use a chunky, fast-draining mix (e.g., orchid bark, perlite, coco‑coir). Water thoroughly when the medium is dry—typically once a week under UK indoor conditions - then allow it to drain.
Light:
Bright but no direct sun. Rotate periodically so vine growth stays even—flower clusters tend to emerge on the light-facing side
Humidity:
Moderate to high (50–80 %). Average UK indoor humidity suits it, but the plant benefits from added moisture - use a pebble tray or humidifier.
Temperature:
Warm year-round: day 18–26 °C, minimum night 10–12 °C. Allowing nights to drop around 10–12 °C in winter encourages flowering. Avoid sudden drifts below this range .

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
