Basil 'Bolloso Napoletano' Seeds

Sow indoors from March to May in a warm spot around 20°C. Basil hates cold, so keep it inside or under glass until June, when nights are reliably mild. A few sowings a month apart keep fresh leaves coming all summer.

Yes. A 20 cm pot on a sunny windowsill or patio suits one plant well. Water at the base in the morning rather than over the leaves, and pinch out the growing tips to keep it bushy.

Both are sweet basils, but 'Bolloso Napoletano' has much larger, crinkled, paler green leaves with a softer, sweeter scent. Genovese has smaller, flatter, darker leaves and a sharper flavour that is classic for pesto.

*Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of undamaged plants as these are perishable items and are not saleable upon return. If a plant is damaged, we will compensate for this as per our live arrival guarantee.
