Anigozanthos Blue Masquerade is a compact kangaroo paw hybrid known for its striking teal‑blue and purple tubular flowers. Its slender, gray‑blue leaves are sword‑shaped, growing in upright clumps to about 40 cm wide, emerging from rhizomes. The flower stems reach approximately 50 cm tall, each bearing clusters of furry, paw‑like blooms/
This hybrid was developed in Western Australia through the Celebrations breeding program, making it the only blue kangaroo paw currently available. It flowers reliably once established, especially under bright light, and can bloom throughout much of the year .
Native to:
Australia, specifically Western Australia, where kangaroo paws from the Celebrations series are bred, though this exact cultivar is not naturally occurring in the wild. Blue Masquerade is a cultivated interspecific hybrid.
Water:
Allow the top third of the potting mix to dry out between waterings. Over‑watering can lead to root rot, while moderate follow‑up during the flower bud stage encourages better blooms. In warmer months, water more frequently; reduce in cooler months.
Light:
Needs bright filtered light to full sun. Ideally, a few hours of morning sun, or a bright spot indoors with direct light by a window.
Temperature:
Thrives at 15–24 °C. Hardy outdoors to 0C for a few hours. Needs protection in winter in all of UK. Does best in conservatory or bright indoor space.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.
Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.
We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.
We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.
That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia, may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
