Yes. Use a container at least 30 cm deep and wide, or larger for a fuller plant, and set it somewhere sunny and sheltered so the tassels can hang over the rim. Pot-grown plants need regular watering in summer.

Amaranthus caudatus is grown as a grain crop in the Andes, and its young leaves are cooked like spinach in many cuisines. In the garden, most people let the tassels ripen for the birds or cut them for flower arrangements instead.
