A strikingly architectural plant with bold, contrasting and heart shaped foliage. Native to South-East Asia, most notably China & the Philippines.
- Leaves are waxy, thick, glossy and dark green with contrasting white veining.
- Leaf undersides are deep purple.
- Compared to the original Longiloba species, this variety's leaves are rounder and darker.
Growth pattern: Tuberous & bushes outwards
Water: Little and often. Keep moist but not waterlogged.
Ideal Position: North or east facing
Light: Medium to bright, indirect light.
Recommended Substrate: Alocasia Mix
Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use.
