Epipremnum 'Green Marble' is a beautiful cultivar of Epipremnum, known for its marbled, variegated foliage. Its leaves are a mix of deep green and creamy, pale green streaks, giving each leaf a unique pattern reminiscent of marble. The heart-shaped leaves grow along trailing stems, making it ideal for hanging baskets, shelves, or climbing support poles. This cultivar is similar in care to other Pothos types and has a manageable, moderate growth rate, making it a suitable choice for indoor spaces.
'Green Marble' is hardy and easy to maintain, tolerating a range of light conditions and occasional periods of drought. This adaptability, combined with its appealing variegation, makes it a great plant for those wanting a unique foliage display with minimal upkeep.
Native to
Epipremnum species are originally from tropical forests in Southeast Asia, particularly in regions with high humidity and filtered light. 'Green Marble,' like other Pothos types, is adapted to thrive indoors, where its natural preference for low to moderate light and stable temperatures can be easily met.
Water
Water Epipremnum 'Green Marble' when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. During the growing season, more regular watering helps maintain healthy growth, while in winter, reduce watering as the plant's growth naturally slows.
Light
This plant thrives in bright, indirect light, which enhances its variegation. It can also adapt to moderate or lower light conditions, though the variegation may become less pronounced in very low light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause leaf scorch and fading of the marbled pattern.
Humidity
Epipremnum 'Green Marble' enjoys moderate humidity levels, ideally around 40% to 60%. It tolerates typical indoor humidity well but may benefit from a nearby humidity source, especially during dry winter months.
Temperature
This plant prefers typical indoor temperatures between 18°C and 26°C. It should be protected from cold drafts or temperatures below 12°C, as it is sensitive to cold. Keep it in a stable, warm environment, away from sudden temperature changes, for optimal growth and health.
