🌿 Plant Care Tips

Hoya verticillata 'Lampung' is a cultivar of H.verticillata, named after the Lampung province in southern Sumatra, Indonesia where it was discovered. This cultivar is known for its distinctive venation and mottled splash.​

Native to: Lampung province, Sumatra, Indonesia.​

Water: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring excess water drains away, and then wait until the top third of the potting medium feels dry before watering again. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so avoid leaving the plant in soggy conditions.​

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate some direct morning sunlight, avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves. Insufficient light may result in reduced growth and a lack of flowering.​

Humidity: Prefers higher humidity levels, ideally above 60%. If maintaining such levels is challenging, especially during winter months, consider using a humidity tray or placing a humidifier nearby. Regular misting can also help, but ensure the leaves dry out to prevent fungal issues.​

Temperature: Prefers warm indoor temperatures, ideally between 18°C and 26°C. It does not tolerate cold drafts or temperatures below 10°C. Keeping it in a stable environment away from sudden temperature fluctuations will promote healthy growth.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.

Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.

We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.

We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.

Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.

The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
