This prayer plant is native to Columbia and Venezuela, with delicate pink pinstripes going across the foliage. The name 'Ornata' comes from the plant being considered so Ornate.
- Calatheas are known as 'Prayer plants' meaning their foliage folds up at night and drops during the day.
- Large wide leaves, with a almost feathered appearance
Growth pattern: Compact rosette geophyte
Water: When the top 2-3cm of soil becomes dry.
Ideal Position: East facing
Light: Bright, indirect or filtered light.
