This species is native to the Philippines, found on Panay, Luzon, Leyte and Sibuyan islands at around 500 m elevation. It’s a unifoliate epiphyte with creeping rhizomes and close-set, pear-shaped pseudobulbs (2–3 cm long, 1.5–2 cm wide). Each pseudobulb carries one leathery, oblong leaf up to about 22 cm long and 3–4 cm wide. In spring to early summer it produces an ascending 10 cm inflorescence bearing two to three yellow flowers. 

Native to:
Philippines—specifically Panay (Antique, Capiz), Luzon (Rizal, Sorsogon, Zambales), Leyte, and Sibuyan at mid‑elevation (~500 m). The plant shows a mat‑forming, compact growth habit, with elongated oblong leaves and yellow flowers.

Water:
Keep the substrate constantly moist throughout active growth, reduce only slightly from late winter to early spring. Avoid waterlogging; excellent drainage is essential. Mounted plants benefit from daily misting, while potted specimens need regular watering so the medium stays damp but not soggy.

Light:
Bright, filtered light is best. Avoid direct sun.

Humidity:
High humidity of 80–85%, dipping slightly to 75% during spring, mimics its native conditions. Ensure continuous gentle airflow to prevent fungal issues.

Temperature:
Prefers warm-evening temperatures: daytime 22–29 °C, night 18–22 °C (drop around 4–6 °C). It thrives as a warm grower and dislikes extended cool periods
