🌿 Plant Care Tips

Epipremnum Champs Élysées is a striking cultivar of Epipremnum (often labelled under the name pothos) that stands out thanks to its vivid neon‑green foliage and distinctive textured undersides. Its leaves are typically a bright lime to yellow‑green, and on the undersides you may notice ridged “gill‑like” crests that add a unique visual element.

Native to: This is a cultivated variety rather than a wild‑collected species. It derives from the common pothos lineage, which traces back to tropical Asia and the Pacific, but the exact parentage of “Champs Élysées” is not documented.

Water: Allow the top portion of the potting medium to dry out before watering again. This cultivar prefers a cycle of drying slightly rather than remaining water‑saturated. Avoid letting the roots sit in standing water as root‑rot is a common issue in pothos varieties.

Light: Prefers bright, filtered light. While it will tolerate moderate light, the best vigorous growth and leaf colour come from conditions where indirect light is strong. Direct midday sun should be avoided as it can scorch the foliage.

Humidity: It tolerates average indoor humidity well, though slightly higher humidity can help overall growth. It does not demand ultra‐high humidity and will do fine in a typical UK home environment.

Temperature: Keep indoors at temperatures around 18‑26 °C. Avoid exposing the plant to temperatures below about 15 °C, and protect from cold drafts or very dry heater air.
