Water Maintain medium to high moisture levels for Pleurothallis rubella, ensuring the growing medium remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. Avoid allowing the substrate to dry out completely, as this can stress the plant. Regular watering is essential, particularly during active growth periods.
Light Provide low to intermediate lighting conditions, equivalent to deep shade or filtered light. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can cause leaf scorch. An east-facing window with sheer curtains or placement away from direct sun in a bright room can offer suitable light levels.
Humidity High humidity is crucial for Pleurothallis rubella, with levels around 70% being ideal. Such requirements make it perfect for growing in terrariums or orchidariums, where humidity can be controlled effectively. In open indoor environments, using a humidifier or placing the plant on a humidity tray can help maintain the necessary moisture levels.
Temperature This orchid prefers cool to intermediate temperatures, ideally between 10-24°C. It can tolerate slightly warmer conditions but should be protected from temperatures exceeding 27°C. Avoid placing the plant near heat sources or in areas with significant temperature fluctuations.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.
Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.
We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.
We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.
That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for. Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting. The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
