Monstera gracilis aff., an intriguing member of the Monstera genus, is celebrated for its delicate, fenestrated foliage and compact growth habit. The term "aff." indicates its close resemblance to Monstera gracilis, though it may represent a distinct species. This plant's leaves start as entire and, with maturity, develop unique perforations, giving them a distinctive appearance. Its manageable size makes it well-suited for indoor cultivation.

Water This species prefers a balanced watering regimen. Allow the top 2–5 cm of the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering, which can lead to root rot. During the active growing season, maintain consistent moisture, reducing frequency in cooler months when growth slows.
Light Monstera gracilis aff. thrives in bright, indirect light. Exposure to direct sunlight can cause leaf scorch, so it's best placed near an east or north-facing window. In lower light conditions, growth may slow, and leaf fenestrations might be less pronounced.
Humidity Originating from humid rainforest environments, this plant appreciates humidity levels between 60% and 80%. To replicate these conditions indoors, consider using a humidifier or placing the plant on a tray filled with water and pebbles. Regular misting can also help maintain adequate humidity around the foliage.
Temperature Monstera gracilis aff. flourishes in temperatures ranging from 18°C to 26°C. It is sensitive to cold and should be protected from temperatures below 10°C. Avoid placing the plant near drafts or sudden temperature fluctuations to ensure optimal growth.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
