Epipremnum falcifolium is a tropical climbing plant known for its elongated, sickle-shaped leaves that become more deeply ridged and glossy as they mature. Given the right conditions, it can develop large, narrow dramatic foliage.
Native to: Found in the tropical rainforests of Borneo. It grows as a hemiepiphyte, initially rooting in the soil before climbing trees to access brighter light.
Water: Prefers evenly moist soil but should not be left waterlogged. Allow the top third of the soil to dry before watering again. Overwatering can lead to root rot, especially if drainage is poor.
Light: Thrives in moderate to bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate lower light conditions, growth will be slower, and leaves may remain smaller. Direct sun can scorch its foliage, so filtered light is best.
Humidity: Requires moderate to high humidity levels, ideally between 60% and 80%. If indoor air is dry, consider increasing humidity with a pebble tray, humidifier, or regular misting.
Temperature: Grows best in warm conditions between 18°C and 32°C. It does not tolerate cold temperatures well and should be kept above 15°C to prevent stress and leaf damage.
