Its compact growth makes it well-suited for indoor cultivation, and its tolerance for indoor humidity levels allows it to adapt well to typical household conditions. Proper care can result in a robust plant that adds an understated elegance to any collection.
Anthurium berriozabalense is native to the tropical forests of Mexico, particularly thriving in the humid understories of these environments. It has adapted to shaded conditions with dappled light, replicating the filtered sunlight it would naturally receive beneath the forest canopy.
This species requires consistently moist soil, with the top layer allowed to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as soggy conditions can lead to root rot. This Anthurium prefers to be on the drier side of constantly moist. Use well-draining soil to balance moisture retention and aeration.
Bright, indirect light is ideal for Anthurium berriozabalense. Direct sunlight can scorch the delicate leaves, while insufficient light may slow its growth and reduce its overall vigour.
High humidity levels above 60% are preferred, making this plant a good candidate for a terrarium setup if space allows. Alternatively, frequent misting or placing the plant near a humidifier can help maintain the required moisture levels.
This species thrives in temperatures between 18–30°C, with a minimum threshold of 15°C. Protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations to ensure steady growth.

All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
