🌿 Plant Care Tips

Adenium arabicum 'Baobab', commonly known as the Desert Rose, is a striking succulent native to the arid regions of East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Known for its thick, fleshy caudex and unique, swollen trunk resembling a miniature baobab tree, this plant adds a dramatic focal point to any indoor space. Its greenish-grey leaves and showy, tubular flowers, which can range in colour from pink to red, make it a popular choice among succulent enthusiasts and those seeking a low-maintenance yet eye-catching plant.

Native to: Adenium arabicum is native to East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, thriving in hot, arid environments with well-draining soil and plenty of sunlight.

Water: Water your Adenium arabicum sparingly, allowing the top half of the soil to dry out completely between waterings. This succulent is highly drought-tolerant and prefers to be kept on the dry side to prevent root rot. During the dormant winter period, reduce watering frequency significantly.

Light: This plant thrives in bright light and should be placed in a location where it can receive ample indirect sunlight. While it can tolerate some direct sunlight, too much can cause leaf burn. A south-facing window with filtered light is ideal.

Humidity: Regular household humidity levels are sufficient for Adenium arabicum. It does not require high humidity and can thrive in the relatively dry air of most indoor environments.

Temperature: Adenium arabicum prefers warm temperatures, ideally around 20°C to 30°C. It can tolerate temperatures as low as 10°C, but should be protected from cold drafts and frost. Ensure it is kept in a warm, stable environment to promote healthy growth.
