Hesi Products Indoors for Aroids and more
Here at GrowTropicals, we’re big fans of Hesi products and have seen a visible size and growth increase since we started to use them. We currently use Hesi products in our nursery for plants in semi-hydro, in aroid mix/soil mix and also for those grown in moss.
Some of you may wonder how to use the various products in the range. In this quick guide, we want to walk you through how we go about using them for our own plants.
The main products from the Hesi range that we use are:
Plants in soil/aroid mix
For plants you are growing in an organic soil or chunky aroid mix, we suggest the following routine as below.
Please note: Each plant can have varying nutrient requirements. Our schedule below is what has worked for us through testing. Please test carefully on your plants and work your way up from the weakest dilutions to the levels we recommend paying attention to how your plant reacts.

Plants in semi hydro or full hydro
For plants you are growing in an inorganic self watering mix like Lechuza pon or LECA, we suggest the following routine as below. We flush our reservoirs on a weekly or bi weekly basis, and make sure to run clear, pure water through the media each time to reduce salt accumulation.
