Alocasia is a peat free potting mix designed for growing tricky Alocasia indoors. The light and airy mix allows for maximum oxygen exchange whilst retaining a lot of moisture, ensuring a healthy root system whilst avoiding rot. Worm castings in the mix add all the essential nutrients and trace minerals that your plants require and so this is a sure-fire way to start your plants off in the right way.

A decent sized bag. Haven't used this yet but ran my hand through it and felt moist and looks to be a superior substrate with a good mix for root growth, drainage and plant nutrients. Will save me the cost and time of making my own.

To be fair I didn’t notice much difference between this and monstera mix. I might be wrong but it looks like the same mix just in a different bag and I didn’t need to buy it as I already had the other one. Otherwise it’s a great mix.

Our Alocasia mix is designed to be a little more water-retentive, with added husk, coco, and vermiculite to keep those thirstier roots happy. In contrast, our Monstera mix is chunkier and freer-draining, with more pumice and fine bark, and less coco which is perfect for plants that prefer a bit more airflow around their roots. The top of the bags might look similar but after a good mix before use, you'll notice some differences in the blends.

I bought a soil mix for my anthurium and other plants. The soil is of excellent consistency. It's a bit too early to say how well they'll react to it. But I can't complain about the appearance or quality. Delivery was efficient and on time. I recommend this store.
