Pellionia repens variegated, often referred to as a variegated Watermelon Pellionia, is an attractive trailing plant known for its distinctively patterned leaves. The leaves feature a variegated pattern of ight green, and cream colours. This plant is a great choice for adding visual interest to terrariums or as a trailing plant in hanging baskets or on shelves.
Native to: Pellionia repens is native to Malaysia. It typically grows in humid, shaded forest floors, thriving in the undergrowth where it benefits from high humidity and indirect light.
Water: This plant prefers consistently moist soil. Water it regularly, ensuring that the soil stays damp but not waterlogged. It's crucial to provide good drainage to prevent root rot, which can occur if the plant is left in standing water.
Light: Pellionia repens variegated does best in bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can cause the leaves to scorch, while too little light can lead to a loss of variegation. It's ideal for locations where it receives filtered light or dappled sunlight.
Humidity: High humidity is essential for this plant, with levels above 70% being ideal. It’s an excellent candidate for a terrarium environment where humidity can be easily maintained. In typical indoor conditions, a humidifier or a pebble tray with water can help achieve the required humidity.
Temperature: This plant prefers warm conditions, with an optimal temperature range of 18°C to 24°C. It should be protected from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C, as it is sensitive to colder conditions. Keeping the environment stable and warm will help the plant thrive.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.
Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.
We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.
We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.
That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for. Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting. The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
