Alocasia 'Frydek' Variegata, also known as the Variegated Green Velvet Alocasia, is a striking species instantly recognized for its velvety, dark green leaves with distinctive white variegation. Native to the Philippines, this plant adds an exotic touch to any indoor plant collection. The leaves are unusually thin, soft, and delicate for an Alocasia, and they are large and arrow-shaped, making a bold statement in any room.
Native to: Alocasia 'Frydek' Variegata is native to the tropical regions of the Philippines, where it thrives in humid, shaded environments.
Water: Water this Alocasia little and often, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. The top layer of soil should be allowed to dry slightly between waterings.
Light: This plant prefers bright, indirect, or filtered light. An east-facing window is ideal to provide the gentle morning sun while avoiding harsh afternoon rays that could scorch its delicate leaves.
Humidity: Although Alocasia 'Frydek' Variegata will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet, it thrives with higher humidity levels. To maintain the ideal environment, consider grouping plants together or placing them in a bathroom or kitchen with regular use. Using a humidifier can also help achieve the necessary moisture levels.
Temperature: Maintain a temperature range of 18°C to 26°C for optimal growth. Avoid exposing the plant to temperatures below 15°C, as it is sensitive to cold and prefers the warmth of its native tropical habitat.

We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.
That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
