Tradescantia pallida 'Pink Stripe' is a cultivar of the species Tradescantia pallida. It features deep purple, lance‑shaped leaves streaked with vivid hot‑pink variegation. The growth habit is trailing and sprawling, with succulent stems.
Native to: The species is native to Eastern coastal Mexico, from Tamaulipas down to Yucatán.
Water: Keep soil moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top half of the potting mix feels dry. During the growing season, moderately frequent watering encourages vibrant leaf colour; reduce watering in cooler months when growth slows. Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water to prevent root rot.
Light: Provide bright filtered light, avoid harsh direct sun, especially afternoon sun, which may scorch the foliage. Some morning or gentle afternoon sun helps to intensify pink and purple striping. Too little light causes colour to fade or leaves to revert to solid purple (‘Purpurea’ form).
Temperature: Ideal indoor temperatures range from about 15 °C to 21 °C. It is not frost‑hardy and must remain indoors through UK winters.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
