Bulbophyllum schinzianum var. phaeopogon is a compact epiphytic orchid belonging to the large Bulbophyllum genus, native to western and west–central tropical Africa (Cameroon, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo). From stout pseudobulbs emerge fleshy, elliptic leaves, and its distinctive flowers present yellow-green petals with brown or purple spotting and a prominent fuzzy lip (labellum) often appearing brownish or cream with dense hairs
This variety shares the similar growth habit of the species—delicate creeping rhizomes that carry small pseudobulbs and a single leaf each, making it perfect for growing indoors in terrariums or mounted in hanging baskets.
Native to:
Western and west–central tropical African rainforest canopy regions—growing on tree branches at low to moderate elevations in humid, shaded environments.
Water:
Keep the potting medium consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow slight drying between waterings but never let the substrate dry out completely.
Light:
Thrives in bright filtered light. Position near an east or north-facing window, or shield south-west light with a sheer curtain. Avoid direct sun on the leaves, which may scorch.
Humidity:
Requires high humidity - 60 % to 90 % - and good air circulation to mimic rainforest conditions.
Temperature:
Day temperatures between 20 °C and 27 °C, with a nocturnal drop of about 4 °C to 6 °C; avoid letting nights fall below 15 °C .

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
