🌿 Plant Care Tips

Philodendron gloriosum is a stunning Colombian native known for its impressive, heart-shaped leaves and striking pinkish veining. The leaves are velvety to the touch, adding a luxurious feel to any indoor space. This plant's crawling growth pattern allows it to spread horizontally, making it an excellent choice for wide, shallow pots or planter boxes where it can fully showcase its foliage.

Native to: Philodendron gloriosum is native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia, thriving in the humid, shaded understories of these lush environments.

Water: Water Philodendron gloriosum little and often to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. Maintaining a steady moisture level is crucial for this plant's health.

Light: This plant prefers medium to bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves. An ideal position is near a north or east-facing window, where it can receive ample but gentle light.

Humidity: Philodendron gloriosum will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet but, like all tropical plants, thrives with higher humidity levels. Aim for humidity levels above 60%. Grouping plants together or placing them in a bathroom or kitchen that receives regular use can help maintain the necessary humidity.

Temperature: Keep your Philodendron gloriosum in a warm environment, ideally between 18°C to 26°C. Avoid exposing it to cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C to ensure healthy growth and prevent stress.
