Adiantum tenerum 'Scutum Roseum', commonly known as the Pink Maidenhair Fern, is a tropical fern with delicate, fan-shaped fronds that emerge in a vibrant peach-pink hue before maturing to green. These fronds are supported by dark, wiry stems, creating a striking contrast. The plant has a clumping growth habit and spreads gently over time, making it well-suited for container growth indoors.
This fern thrives in warm, humid environments, mimicking the understory conditions of its native habitat. Due to its fine-textured foliage and preference for high humidity, it is an excellent choice for terrariums. Its soft, feathery appearance requires careful handling, as the fronds are fragile and can easily dry out in unsuitable conditions.
Native to
Tropical regions of the Americas, where it grows in warm, humid forest environments.
Water
Requires consistently moist soil but should not be left in standing water. Water with soft, room-temperature water to avoid mineral buildup. A well-draining potting mix helps prevent root rot.
Light
Prefers bright, filtered sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the fronds. It thrives in well-lit rooms with indirect natural light.
Humidity
Needs high humidity, ideally between 70% and 80%. Regular misting, a pebble tray, or a humidifier can help maintain suitable levels. Due to its humidity requirements, it is well-suited for terrarium cultivation.
Temperature
Grows best in warm, stable temperatures around 20°C during the day and should not be exposed to temperatures below 13°C. Protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
