🌿 Plant Care Tips

It looks like a Monstera that someone scaled down. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma produces small, neatly fenestrated leaves on slender, fast-climbing stems, giving it the appearance of a miniature Monstera deliciosa at a fraction of the size. Despite the common name, it is not a Monstera at all but a separate genus entirely. It is among the fastest-growing aroids in cultivation: give it a moss pole and warmth, and it will climb rapidly, producing new leaves at an impressive pace.

Origins
Native to the tropical forests of southern Thailand and Malaysia, Rhaphidophora tetrasperma grows as a hemiepiphyte, climbing from the forest floor into the canopy.

Soil and Substrate
Our Monstera and Philodendron Premium Potting Mix suits this species well: peat-free, with an open, chunky structure that provides good drainage and aeration for fast-growing aerial roots. Water when the top 2 cm of substrate is dry. Bright, indirect light produces the most fenestration; lower light results in smaller, less divided leaves.
