Product Information

Kratiste climbing poles offer a superior, eco-friendly alternative to traditional plant supports. Their natural composition, thoughtful design features, and sustainable production practices make them an excellent choice for plant growers seeking to support their plants' growth while minimising environmental impact.

By emulating the natural structures that climbing plants prefer, Kratiste poles promote healthier plant development, allowing your houseplants to flourish as they would in their native habitats. Kratiste climbing poles represent an innovative and eco-friendly advancement in plant support solutions, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional moss or coco poles.

Composition

Unlike conventional supports that often incorporate PVC or coir fibers, Kratiste poles are crafted entirely from natural materials, ensuring they are fully biodegradable. This commitment to environmental responsibility is evident in their composition, which includes potato peel residues and Elephant Grass, both sourced and processed in the Netherlands. By manufacturing close to the growers, Kratiste significantly minimizes the product's carbon footprint, resulting in exceptionally low air miles.

One of the standout features of Kratiste poles is their 100% natural composition. Traditional plant supports often contain plastics, iron, or dead coconut fibers, which can be detrimental to both plants and the environment. In contrast, Kratiste poles are free from these materials, eliminating the risk of introducing microplastics into the ecosystem. This natural approach not only benefits the environment but also aligns with the innate preferences of climbing plants. In their natural habitats, such plants typically ascend rough tree bark, a texture that Kratiste poles emulate, providing a structure that plants can easily grip and thrive upon.

Attachment

Kratiste offers bio-clips for securing plants to the poles. Unlike traditional methods that may involve sharp wires or plastic ties, these bio-clips are designed to bend with the growth of the stem. This flexibility prevents the pinching of sap flow, allowing the plant to develop naturally and healthily.

Extensibility

As your plant matures, Kratiste poles offer the convenience of easy extension. If a plant outgrows its initial support, additional segments can be added seamlessly, ensuring continuous support without disrupting the plant's development. Furthermore, Kratiste poles facilitate smart watering practices. Water can be delivered directly through the climbing pole to the plant's roots, reducing evaporation and ensuring efficient hydration.

Sustainability

In terms of sustainability, Kratiste's production process is noteworthy. The poles are manufactured in the Netherlands which reduces the need for long-distance transportation, significantly lowering CO2 emissions associated with the product. Moreover, the use of plant residues in the manufacturing process contributes to a low carbon footprint, aligning with global efforts toward responsible consumption and production.
