This epiphytic orchid is endemic to Sulawesi, Indonesia, where it thrives in the wet tropical biome at mid elevations (1,200–1,500 m). It forms creeping rhizomes producing cylindrical pseudobulbs, each topped by a single oblong leaf. Inflorescences emerge erect or arching, bearing a succession of small, intricate yellow-red flowers roughly 2.5 cm across, often fragrant. Blooms appear in spring and summer on 60 cm stems with individual flowers opening sequentially over weeks.
Native to:
Sulawesi, Indonesia—often found in wet tropical forests between ~1,200 and 1,500 m elevation. Features creeping rhizomes, cylindrical pseudobulbs, single erect oblong leaves, and yellow-to-red striped blooms on long basal inflorescences.
Water:
Keep its media (fine bark, sphagnum-lined mount or pot) evenly moist but allow slight drying occasionally. Do not let dry out completely. During warm periods or flowering, water frequently to maintain constant moisture—about 3–5 waterings per week if mounted, slightly less in cool seasons.
Light:
Provide bright, filtered light. Avoid direct sun.
Humidity:
Maintain high humidity—ideally between 60% and 90%. Frequent misting, humidifiers or trays help, especially below 70%. Ensure gentle airflow to reduce fungal risk .
Temperature:
Prefers warm-to-intermediate conditions—daytime around 20–29 °C, with night drops down to 16–18 °C. Avoid night temperatures below 15 °C; it thrives best with a consistent temperature range and warm conditions year-round .

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
