Gonatopus angustatus, a rarely offered member of the Araceae family, is native to eastern and southeastern Africa. It is closely related to the genus Zamioculcas. This species typically produces a single, tripinnate leaf from its tuber during the growing season, with the leaf and stalk reaching up to 1.5 metres in height. The individual leaflets are up to 10 cm long and 3.5 cm broad. In late spring, a spadix arises from the tuber, characteristic of its flowering process.
Native to: Eastern and southeastern Africa.
Water: Maintain moist soil during the active growing season, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. During dormancy, reduce watering to prevent tuber rot.
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity levels. Regular misting or placing the plant on a humidity tray can be beneficial.
Temperature: Favourable temperatures range between 21°C to 32°C during the day and around 10°C to 13°C at night. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 10°C.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
