🌿 Plant Care Tips

A new and undescribed species, named for its origins, with unusually shaped foliage. Native to the Himalayas. Originally collected by the late Michael Wickenden. Semi-hardy outdoors in a sheltered spot too.

  • Leaves are fan-shaped and heavily serrated.
  • Fast grower.
  • Foliage is predominantly deep green with a metallic sheen and red and bronze veining.

Growth pattern: Rhizomatous, clump-forming & bushy

Water: When the top 2-3cm of soil becomes dry. Do not allow water to sit on the leaves.

Ideal Position: North or east facing

Light: Medium to bright, indirect light.

Recommended Substrate: Simply Houseplant

Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use.
