Anthurium oxybelium is an epiphytic Anthurium native to the wet tropical regions of western South America, specifically Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It's apt name comes from the Greek words oxys, meaning sharp and belos, meaning dart or pointed.
Water: Maintain consistently moist soil for your Anthurium oxybelium, allowing the top third of the potting medium to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the pot has proper drainage and avoid letting the plant sit in water. During winter months, reduce watering frequency as the plant's growth rate decreases.
Light: Provide bright, indirect light to promote healthy growth and potential flowering. Direct sunlight can cause leaf burn, while insufficient light may result in reduced growth. Positioning the plant near an east or north-facing window is often ideal.
Humidity: Anthurium oxybelium thrives in high humidity environments, ideally between 60-80%. To increase humidity around the plant, consider using a humidifier, placing the pot on a pebble tray filled with water, or growing in a tent or cabinet environment.
Temperature: Maintain indoor temperatures between 18°C and 26°C for optimal growth. Avoid exposing the plant to temperatures below 15°C, as cooler conditions can hinder growth and overall health.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
