Aglaonema rotundum is a sought-after tropical species known for its rounded, dark green, almost black leaves with striking pink or white veins. Native to the shady understories of Southeast Asian forests, this plant is well-suited for indoor environments with low light. Its compact growth habit makes it ideal for smaller spaces, while its resilient nature ensures it thrives with moderate care.

Watering: Allow the top 2-3 cm of soil to dry between waterings. Overwatering is a common mistake that can lead to root rot, so ensure the soil is well-draining and avoid letting the plant sit in water for extended periods.

Light: Though tolerant of low-light conditions, A. rotundum prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its vibrant foliage. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves. Signs of insufficient light include faded colour and leggy growth.

Humidity: This species appreciates moderate to high humidity levels, ideally around 50-60%. It can adapt to average indoor humidity but benefits from regular misting or placement near a humidifier, particularly in dry environments.

Temperature: The optimal temperature range is between 18°C and 26°C. Protect the plant from cold drafts and avoid exposing it to temperatures below 15°C, as it is sensitive to cooler climates.

Soil: Use a well-draining, aerated potting mix, ideally one formulated for aroids or general houseplants, enriched with material like perlite to enhance drainage.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.

Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.

We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.

We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for. Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting. The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
