Native to: This fern is native to SE. China to Korea, S. Central & S. Japan, Taiwan and thrives in woodland environments, particularly in shaded and moist areas.
Water: Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but well-drained. Polystichum lepidocaulon prefers a humid environment, so regular misting can be beneficial, especially in drier indoor settings.
Light: This fern thrives in partial to full shade. It should be placed in an area with indirect light, as direct sunlight can scorch its leaves.
Humidity: High humidity is ideal for Polystichum lepidocaulon. It performs well in environments with consistent moisture, making it suitable for terrariums.
Temperature: The optimal temperature range for Polystichum lepidocaulon is between 15°C and 25°C.
Soil: Use a well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. The soil should be kept moist but not waterlogged to prevent root rot. Incorporating organic matter can enhance soil fertility and drainage.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
