Masdevallia roseola is a species of orchid native to Ecuador. It typically grows in cool, moist cloud forests at higher elevations, often between 1,500 and 2,500 metres above sea level. Like many Masdevallias, it prefers high humidity, good air circulation, and cooler temperatures, making it a favourite among orchid enthusiasts who can replicate these conditions.

Water

This orchid prefers a regular watering schedule, approximately once a week, allowing the medium to dry slightly between waterings. It benefits from rainwater or filtered water to avoid mineral build-up, which can harm its delicate roots. In winter, reduce watering to once every two weeks, as the plant requires less moisture in cooler months.

Light

Bulbophyllum pardolatum does best in low to moderate, indirect light, similar to its shaded native environment. Place it near a north- or east-facing window, or provide filtered artificial light if natural light is insufficient.
