Labisia sp. 'Sabilit' is a rare tropical plant known for its distinctive wrinkled, rounded leaves, which feature a beautiful gradient of dark green to lilac, particularly along the veins. This slow-growing species is native to Southeast Asia and is well-suited to indoor environments, especially in terrariums where its high humidity needs can be maintained. The plant's pinkish stems add to its visual appeal, making it a standout in any collection.

Native to: Labisia sp. 'Sabilit' hails from the tropical rainforests of Asia, particularly Malaysia and Indonesia, where it grows in shaded, humid environments beneath the forest canopy. This natural habitat informs its preference for indirect light and consistently moist conditions.

Water: Like many tropical plants, Labisia sp. 'Sabilit' prefers soil that remains evenly moist but not waterlogged. Ensure good drainage to avoid root rot, and reduce watering during cooler months, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Light: This plant thrives in medium to low indirect light, similar to the diffused light of its native forest floor. It should be kept out of direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves. For optimal growth, placing it in a terrarium or a shaded indoor spot is ideal.

Humidity: High humidity is essential for Labisia sp. 'Sabilit', with levels of 80% or more being ideal. This makes it a perfect candidate for terrariums or spaces with a humidifier. If kept in regular indoor settings, misting or grouping it with other plants can help maintain adequate moisture levels.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.

Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.

We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.

We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for. Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting. The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
