Alocasia 'Kuching Mask' is an eye-catching tropical plant noted for its striking foliage, featuring dark green, spearhead-shaped leaves with prominent white veins. The undersides of the leaves are dark brown and gray, adding to the plant's unique appearance. This Alocasia is a hybrid that grows well indoors and can get quite sizeable.
Native to: Alocasia 'Kuching Mask' is a hybrid plant created by Brian Williams of Brian’s Botanicals. Its parentage includes Alocasia longiloba x Alocasia odora and Alocasia macrorrhizos 'Borneo Giant'.
Water: Water your Alocasia 'Kuching Mask' thoroughly, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top layer of soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. Well-draining soil is crucial to maintain optimal moisture levels.
Light: This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate partial shade but avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves. Place it near a window with filtered light for the best growth.
Humidity: Alocasia 'Kuching Mask' prefers high humidity levels, ideally between 60% and 80%. Using a humidifier or a pebble tray with water can help maintain the necessary moisture levels, especially in drier indoor environments.
Temperature: Maintain a temperature range of 18°C to 27°C for optimal growth. Protect the plant from temperatures below 15°C, as it is sensitive to cold. Consistent warmth will support its vigorous growth and development.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
