Philodendron pulchrum is a striking tropical climber native to the rainforests of Central and South America. It is known for its large, glossy, dark green leaves, which often feature a reddish tint on the underside. This rapid-growing plant can reach lengths of up to 2.4 metres, using its fibrous root system to climb and support itself on nearby structures.
Native to: This species originates from the warm, humid rainforests of Central and South America, where it thrives in shaded, tropical conditions.
Water: Philodendron pulchrum prefers to dry out slightly between waterings. It’s important to let the top few centimetres of soil dry before watering again to avoid root rot. During cooler months or dormancy, reduce watering.
Light: This plant does best in moderate, indirect light. While it can tolerate low light, it will grow faster with brighter, filtered sunlight. Direct sunlight should be avoided as it can scorch the leaves.
Humidity: Like many tropical plants, Philodendron pulchrum thrives in high humidity environments. Aim for at least 60% humidity, which can be increased by misting the leaves or placing the plant near a humidifier. It also works well in terrariums due to its moisture requirements.
Temperature: The plant prefers warm temperatures, ideally between 18°C and 24°C. It is sensitive to cold and should be protected from temperatures below 15°C.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.
Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.
The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
