🪴 Philodendron verrucosum 🪴 I received this plant in one of the rescue boxes from growtropicals at the start of the year! I gave it time to settle in before chopping it up and propagating. Some of these props were used for swaps, however the majority have been used to make a beautiful bushy plant 🌱 The verrucosum, first identified in 1854, is native to rainforests from Costa Rica to Peru, and is famous for its velvety, deep green leaves with purple/red undersides. This is a hemiepiphytic plant, and thrives best when allowed to climb, revealing its true beauty and size. Its leaves can grow up to 75cm long! I’ve got a moss pole up the back of this plant for this exact reason, and i’m very excited to see it grow 🫶🏻 #houseplants #philodendron #verrucosum

Philodendron Verrucosum

We're so pleased to have some beautiful Philodendron Verrucosum in stock. A gorgeous rare tropical variety of Philodendron with delicate leaves, dark veins and hairy petioles. Please note due to the delicate nature of these leaves they may have some small marks on arrival.

Water: Let the soil become dry between waterings, if your leaves droop this means your philodendron is not getting enough water.

Light: Allow your philodendron to get plenty of bright, but indirect sunlight, too much and leaves can turn yellow.

Humidity: They can survive in a low humidity environment, but it will thrive with a higher humidity level. Mist the leaves regularly.

Temperature: They like to be in a warmer spot about 18 degrees C.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.

Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.

We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.

We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.

Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.

The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
