🌿 Plant Care Tips

Anthurium brownii '5' is a striking tropical plant known for its deeply veined, glossy green leaves that add a bold touch to any indoor space. This variety, appreciated for its distinct foliage and relatively easy care, is a favorite among plant enthusiasts looking to bring a touch of the tropics indoors.

Native to: Anthurium brownii '5' is native to the rainforests of Central and South America, where it grows as an epiphyte in the humid, shaded understory.

Water: Water Anthurium brownii '5' thoroughly, allowing the top 2-3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. 

Light: This Anthurium prefers bright, indirect light to mimic its natural habitat under the forest canopy. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. It can tolerate lower light levels, but growth may be slower and the leaves less vibrant.

Humidity: High humidity levels between 70% and 90% are ideal for Anthurium brownii '5', making it an excellent candidate for terrariums.

Temperature: Maintain a temperature range of 18°C to 26°C for optimal growth. Anthurium brownii '5' is sensitive to cold and should be kept away from drafts and temperatures below 15°C. It thrives in the warm, stable temperatures that mimic its native tropical environment.

All plants are shipped in their plastic nursery pot unless otherwise stated.

Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.

We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.

We pride ourselves on the love and care with give our plants. Our entire team are plant obsessives at heart and so we go above and beyond to care for the plants we have in stock.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for.

Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

All our plants are stores and/or grown in our nursery under LED lighting so they are in active growth when arriving with you.

The conditions in our nursery are a minimum of 60% humidity and 19C year round.
