Philodendron inconcinnum originates from Venezuela's tropical rainforests, where it grows in the understory, climbing trees or sprawling along the forest floor. Its leaves are glossy and elongated, with a slightly arching shape, reflecting its adaptation to dappled light conditions in its native environment.

Water

Keep the soil consistently moist, watering when the top inch feels dry to the touch. Use a pot with good drainage to avoid waterlogging, which can lead to root rot. During the winter months, reduce watering slightly to account for slower growth while still maintaining moisture.

Light

Bright, indirect light is ideal for this plant, replicating the filtered sunlight it receives in its native habitat. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. A spot near an east or north-facing window is perfect, though it can tolerate lower light levels with slower growth.

Humidity

This plant thrives in high humidity levels, preferring an environment of 60-70%. To replicate these conditions indoors, use methods such as misting, pebble trays, or humidifiers. Its humidity requirements make it a great candidate for terrariums, provided its size is manageable within the space.

Temperature

Philodendron inconcinnum grows best in temperatures between 18-24°C. It should be kept away from cold draughts and sudden temperature fluctuations, which can stress the plant. Avoid letting temperatures drop below 12°C, as this can stunt growth or damage the plant.

Plant pot sizes can fluctuate +/- 1cm.

We recommend to always size up your decorative pot by 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For example if you are purchasing a 12cm plant, you should purchase a 14cm decorative pot to ensure it will fit correctly.

That said, plants are living beings and may differ slightly from the photo provided unless otherwise stated. Small leaf imperfections may be present and won't be compensated for. Some plants such as Begonia may suffer slight leaf melt when shipped. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
