In late spring it hangs with nodding, bell-shaped white flowers flushed pink, and in autumn with round red berries that taste of strawberry with a hint of spice.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHardiness and seasons.\u003c\/strong\u003e The RHS rates Chilean guava H4, hardy through most of the UK to around -10C. Give it a sheltered spot out of cold winds; in colder areas, grow it in a pot that can move against a house wall or into an unheated porch in a hard freeze. Berries ripen from September to November.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOne plant is enough.\u003c\/strong\u003e Pretty Berry is self-fertile, so a single bush fruits on its own.
