Let the top few centimetres of compost dry before watering and never leave it sitting wet, as the pale stems are prone to rot in soggy compost. Normal room humidity suits it. Keep it warm, above 15C, and clear of cold draughts. The sap contains calcium oxalate crystals, so keep it out of reach of pets and children.
